YFAB facilitates networking and connection

“To me, the best part of being a part of YFAB has been the networking. I have always enjoyed that GTI enables me to reach out to and get to know so many people.”

“The YFAB group is such a wide group of people from not only all over the state but people of different age groups and different backgrounds as well as a wide variety of leadership styles and personalities and so much more. It allows me to think in different ways, but also consider what I may not have considered before when I hear the perspectives and thought process that other people think about. For example, I attended the leadership summit earlier in the fall and got to see a different side of the processes. Even though I didn't get to work directly with the group when they came, I still got to interact with and see what the group had come up with.

I know that I am intelligent and capable, but just because I think of something one way does not mean that everyone thinks of things the same way. We do the break out rooms and the bonding activites and these are always so incredibly enlightening to me in a way that I had not previously considered. I always live yo see how others process things and whatnot. These meeting also give me the opportunity to see the different types of leader and see what roles that they fit best. It let's me know what is the best way for myself and for other to go about handling certain things.

Like I know that my true color is blue and that is incredibly insightful for how I process and approach situations and people, whereas if I am working with a person whose true color is green for example, understanding these different colors and their priorities and "oxygen", I know know how to better support and delegate responsibilities.”
